DAVE Lee bagged four goals on his debut as Southowram bounced back from their defeat against Halifax Phoenix with a 5-0 win over Brandy Wine in the Premier Division.
Scott Collingwood returned to the Southowram defence and Greg Porter was back in midfield.
And these changes proved successful, with Southowram keeping their first clean sheet of the campaign.
Southowram controlled most of the game and took the lead after 35 minutes, Michael Pearson firing home.
The second half was the Lee show as he scored four superb goals.
Brandy Wine battled well but were no match for a lively Southowram side.
Spring Gardens went one down to a lively Halifax Phoenix side but slowly took control and were 4-1 up by half time before eventually running out 6-2 winners.
Mark Heptonstall grabbed four goals and Rob Gerrard and Kieran Green one each.
Bradshaw Phoenix and Falcon Pine continued their first division rivalry with yet another hard fought game that ended 1-1.
Pine have usually come out on top in encounters between the two sides but both will have been satisfied with a point following mixed starts to the season.
Falcon opened brightly with Ben Manning pulling the strings along with forwards Matt Holroyd and Wayne Crossley.
But it was Phoenix who took the lead against the run of play when a good move between man of the match Ross Hartley and Dale Gordon lead to a corner and centre half Darren Pitt headed past the helpless Dean Crossley in the Pine goal.
Phoenix continued to press from set pieces but in general play Falcon were making more inroads without any real cutting edge.
Pine, who were missing six regulars, kept plugging away and were rewarded for their efforts on the hour when midfielder Callum Huggon saw his scuffed left foot shot sneak in.
Oddfellows made it two wins on the trot in Division Three as they beat Albert Rovers 4-1.
After an even opening 20 minutes Oddfellows took control and raced into a 3-0 lead with goals from Chris Summerscales, Tom Shafi and Chris Keen.
Albert got a goal back just before half time when Danny Bell headed home from a long throw.
The second half was all Oddfellows and Matthew Crouch completed the scoring.
Waiters Arms kept up their strong start to the season with a 4-0 victory over Church Stile.
The first half was a non-event with Park going closest for the Waiters after 20 minutes when he miskicked from a couple of yards out.
The best was saved until after the break with the Waiters pushing on and going close through Wood and Doyle, who was exceptional in the middle stopping Stile playmaker Maguire at every opportunity.
Waiters were then awarded a penalty when McDonald was sandwiched in the box after a good interchange with Doyle.
