Junction's good start to their Division Two season continued with a fine 3-0 win against tricky opponents in Kingston.
Junction began the game well with Mark Briggs and James Broadbent both going close in the first few minutes and should have been in front when a Dave Oakes header was cleared with the visitors convinced the ball had crossed the line.
At the other en
d Dale Cartwright was winning every header and, with the impressive Nick Wood and veteran Mark Wheelwright holding the middle, the home side were restricted to a few long distance efforts on goal.
Junction broke the deadlock almost immediately after the break when Lewis Knagg found Broadbent whose good control allowed him just enough room to crash a great shot past a stranded home keeper.
Junction doubled their lead midway through the half when Lee Trollope brought the ball down on the right hand side and played a good ball into the middle which Nick Thompson met with a fine looping header.
The visitors should have been further in front when Braodbent's cross found Hartley only for the winger to completely miss the ball with the goal at his mercy.
Junction continued to press and Trollope was unlucky not to score as he brought a fine save from the home keeper and Junction secured the win when Hartley cut in from the left before smashing a fine shot through a crowded area.
Volunteer Arms kept the leaders in sight with an 8-1 success over Ryburn United Reserves while Elland All Stars eased their plight at the wrong end of the table with a morale-boosting 3-1 victory over Shelf United Reserves, C. McNamara grabbing all three goals.
Greetland manager Brian Vickers called for his side to make a positive start having seen them come from behind in their previous two games.
And David Woffenden provided exactly that with an outstanding solo goal beating five on rushing defenders before slotting the ball past the keeper with the outside of his left foot to set his side on their way to a 4-0 Division three victory over Denholme United Reserves.
Oliver Jefferson and Matt Robinson battled well in midfield against a physical Denholme side and provided the platform for Tom Garforth to make penetrating runs down the right hand side.
Garforth's skill created the opportunity for Mark Hindle to score an easy tap in before Woffenden made it 3-0 before half time after combining well with Andy Hurcombe.
Greetland made changes which saw the long awaited return of Jimmy Highley in midfield but it was super sub Gary Taylor who converted Hurcombe's well timed pass to make it four and secure the points.
Denholme were limited to chances by a solid defence with young Adrian Greenwood outstanding at centre half.
FC Bulls Head Reserves won the battle of the struggling teams, totally blowing bottom club Salem Reserves away to the tune of 8-3.
All eight goals came before the break with Karl McGuire and Neil Davies netting followed by two for Jordan Radford and a hat-trick via Paul Lynch. Ian Seekins made it eight right on the half-time whistle.
Richard Shackleton managed to rally his troops and Lewis Kenny netted a quickfire hat-trick within the first five minutes of the restart courtesy of good work by Dan Ackroyd.
Salem went on to create further chances and even missed a penalty through Scott Riley.
