Ziggy's A Star Cars Halifax Sunday League

LEAGUE action was limited to a trio of Division Two games, the most notable of which saw Queens Head continue their 100 per cent start to the campaign and end visitors FC Champs' own perfect record in the process with a nailbiting 4-3 victory.
Queens took the lead through James Summerskills but Champs drew level, and though the home side continued to dominate, they went in at the break level at 1-1.

But Gareth Hunter regained the lead for Queens and went on to complete a hat trick as they looked to be cruising at 4-1, but they took their foot off the gas and 12 minutes from time, Champs pulled one back and quickly grabbed another.

That made for a nerveracking last few minutes for the home side but they held on to claim a deserved victory.

Engineers dampened Oddfellows' lively start to the season with a 7-3 victory, while Albert Rovers shared four goals with fellow strugglers Stubbing Wharf.
