JAZZY Jokerz were celebrating after emerging victorious in a new late night football tournament.
The Calderdale Midnight League was launched at North Bridge Leisure Centre, Halifax, with former Halifax Town assistant manager Wayne Jacobs, now number two at Bradford City, cutting the ribbon alongside Mayor of Calderdale, Arshad Mahmood.
The five-a-side tournament is for teams of players aged 14 to 18 and includes players from Calderdale, Kirklees and Bradford.
It is organised by Calderdale Council and is funded by more than £600,000 in grants from the Football Foundation, Sport England, Pennine 2000 and the council.
The league runs all year from round from 7pm to 9pm at various Calderdale sports facilities and schools.
