BRIGHOUSE Town's winning first division run ended at 11 matches as they had to settle for a draw at Teversal.
But Mark Brier's side extended their lead at the top of the table to five points because second placed Leeds Carnegie's game at Worsborough Bridge was called off due to a frozen pitch.
Town started reasonably well and had the best of the first half opportunities with Matty Howgate, Danny Toronczak and Nathan Cartman all going close to breaking the deadlock.
But they had to wait until three minutes into the second half to go ahead when Daryl Leach chested down a free kick and hammered a left-foot volley in at the near post.
Brighouse played some good football after that without being able to add to their lead and with 12 minutes remaining the home side bagged an equaliser from a free kick.
Town threw everything at the hosts in the closing stages but were unable to find a winner.
