HALIFAX Town Supporters Trust chair Pam Burton and vice-chair Roger Bottomley have both resigned with immediate effect over the future of the football club.
The duo issued a joint statement this evening in which they cited "major differences of opinion held by board members" as their reason to quit.
And they have both thrown their weight behind the David Bosomworth-led consortium's bid to keep professional football alive in the town.
"It is our considered and long held view that any future possibility of professional football in Calderdale has to be under the auspices of the business consortium headed by David Bosomworth," the statement said.
"Recent criticism internally and externally of the consortium is in our view wholly unwarranted, unprofessional and unquestionably prejudicial to the Club's ultimate survival/reformation."
