TOWN fans have warmly welcomed new manager Jim Vince.
Supporters' trust member Allan Baker said his credentials in the Unibond with Witton Albion suggest the consortium have made a good appointment.
"If his team plays football like what he is reputed for we are in for exciting times," he said.
"The stature of Halifax in dvision one north will hopefully attract the better players and it will now be interesting to see who his assistant will be."
Mr Baker said it was now obvious that work had been ongoing in the background while uncertainty surrounded the club and he hoped lessons had been learned.
"There is a great need to communicate and things are coming out now and that can only be good.
"The mood of the supporter base changes overnight with news."
Another trust member Jonathon Monaghan also said the appointment was a positive move.
"I am pleased a manager has been appointed. That was needed as a priority and hopefully he will do well for us."
The trust has put back its annual meeting to later this month when officers will be appointed.
