Halifax Town 0
Burton Albion 4

TOWN'S hopes of a lucrative FA Cup run were left in tatters by incidents midway through the first half and early in the second against Burton at the Shay.
They were reduced to 10 men after 25 minutes when Anthony Griffith became the fifth player in eight games to be sent off after he clipped Shaun Harrad's heels as he raced towards the edge of the Halifax area.

Daryl Clare smacked home the free kick to deliver a double whammy and when Cortez Belle delayed a clearance and gifted John McGrath a second three minutes after the break the game was over a contest.
Albion went on to bag a couple more before the end, picking Town off on the break as the home side tried in vain to get back into the game.
There was nothing to suggest it would end up such a one sided game in an entertaining opening 20 minutes which saw chances at both ends.
The dangerous Keith Gilroy saw a shot on the turn from a McGrath corner flash narrowly wide of Adam Legzdins' goal after just four minutes.
But the Shaymen responded with chances of their own at the other end.
Rob Scott and Darryn Stamp combined to create a shooting chance for Jon Shaw, but the former Burton man's well struck effort was blocked.
And Steve Torpey twice had efforts suffer the same fate, the first after good work by Heslop and Shaw, the second after Stamp's initial effort had been charged down.
Skipper Tom Kearney also threatened Kevin Poole's goal but, after swapping passes with Torpey, he struck a shot that was always rising just over the bar.
At the other end, Aaron Webster and Harrad both sent efforts over the top before the game turned the visitors' way after 25 minutes.
Kearney's attempt to clear from midway inside his own half went horribly wrong and the ball broke for Harrad to race through.
Griffith matched his run but tangled with the striker who went down and the referee immediately produced a red card for the midfielder - his second of the season.
Clare rubbed salt into 10-man Town's wounds by curling the resulting free kick into the top corner.
Four minutes later, before Halifax had a chance to reorganise properly, Michael Simpson almost added a second with a shot that was deflected onto the post.
The arrival of Steve Bushell, who replaced Darryn Stamp to a chorus of boos from the disapproving home fans, settled things down and Halifax were comfortable up to the break with Kearney twice firing in long range efforts.
But with the key to the game keeping Burton at bay for as long as possible before going in search of an equaliser, disaster struck within 90 seconds of the start of the second half.
Belle decided not to clear at the first attempt and when he eventually did put boot to ball it was charged down by McGrath who ran through and finished coolly with his left foot.
Town saw plenty of the ball after that, but with Burton employing two solid banks of four as they defended their lead, the home side rarely threatened to make any kind of impact.
Their best chances came from set pieces, with Scott heading a Kearney corner just over the top.
Burton bagged a third goal in the 63rd minute from a Poole clearance that was flicked on by Harrad. Clare latched onto the ball and fired home from the right side of the area.
Clare flashed a shot across the face of goal and wide and hammered a free kick into the Halifax defensive wall as he went in search of a hat-trick.
But the fourth goal went to McGrath who tapped home from close range after Legzdins had saved superbly from Clare, who shot from eight yards.
Town had chances for a consolation late on, but Shaw had a header from Daryl Taylor's cross deflect wide and Bushell sent a shot from another Taylor delivery from the right over the bar.

Mistake will cost us - Wilder

Star Shayman
Jon Shaw had been hoping for much much better against his former teammates.
And he did as much as anyone to try to get the Shaymen going in this FA Cup tie.
He was to the fore in the opening 20 minutes when the sides battled for superiority and doubled his workrate when forced to play the lone striker role.
Greg Young did well at both ends of the pitch and must have been dismayed to see Burton strolling through for four goals.
He was as comfortable in a three-man defence as he had been in a four-man one.
Rob Scott has only been back in full training for a week but circumstances dictated that he played the full 90 minutes on Saturday.
And, as Chris Wilder had expected, he barely put a foot wrong after two months on the sidelines.
Shaw takes the three points on offer in our season long competition with Young getting two and Scott one.
