FC Halifax Town 0 Bury 1
Halifax were unfortunate to lose to League Two Bury in their pre-season friendly at the Shay.
Town dominated the opening stages and almost went in front from an Adam Morning shot that came back off the bar.
Ben Jones also went close before, on a rare Bury attack, Ricky Anane got away down the right, pulled the ball and Tony Barass slid the ball into his own net.
Michael Jones struck the post for the visitors with a deflected shot before Neil Ross headed narrowly wide from a Morning free kick at the other end.
Ross and Tony Lennon had efforts blocked early in the second half, as did Dorryl Proffitt.
At the other end Phil Marsh, Jake Dorney and Danny Racchi all failed to trouble either Craig Mawson or his replacement Phil Senior.
Clegg almost bagged an equaliser with a deflected shot following a surging run, but Bury keeper Cameron Belford saved well.

Very good performance. Keep that up and we can look forward to a good season.
