A WRETCHED display from Halifax saw a young and highly-mobile Loughborough side pick up their first National Three North away win of the season.
Halifax were never at the races and were forced to concede as they played straight into Loughborough's hands.
It was a display bereft of direction and intelligence which left coaching duo Rhys Morgan and Dave Harrison fuming on the sidelines.
Loughborough were ahead as early as the fifth minute, Owen Lewis crossing for Paul Trendell to convert.
It was midway through the first half before they extended their advantage, Trendell adding a penalty then converting Grant Pointer's try.
Halifax recovered sufficiently for Richard Brown to rumble over leaving the Students leading 17-5 at the interval.
That soon became 24-5 with Simon Pitfield crossing for Trendell to convert.
Iain Gordon landed a penalty but Loughborough responded through Stuart Bale's score, Trendell converting, after which No 8 Philip Burgess was allowed to race in wide out.
Oli Marns, the only Halifax player to emerge with any credit, scored a deserved try near the end but it was nothing more than a consolation.
