BRADFORD manager Stuart McCall refused to accept that his side had turned in a vintage display in their 2-0 away defeat of Port Vale.
McCall's side played some brilliant football at times as they recovered from last week's defeat at Aldershot to bounce back to second place in League Two.
Lee Bullock swept in a left-foot shot after 17 minutes to put the Bantams in front before Peter Thorne continued his fine goalscoring form by adding a second late in the second period.
"I still think there is more to come," said McCall. "I'm delighted with the result, but I would by lying if I said I was totally happy with the performance.
"We played very well for the first 30 minutes and the game should probably have been over, but we let Vale get back into it. Vale Park is a big pitch and there is plenty of room to play, but we gave it away too easily.
"It might sound as though I'm being picky and I can understand that, but we set ourselves high standards. There is definitely room for further improvement."
