Macclesfield conceded a two-goal lead for the second successive week as they were pegged back by Bradford.
The Silkmen took an early lead when Junior Daniel nodded over keeper Simon Eastwood and Hamza Bencherif made it 2-0, converting Emile Sinclair's cross.
James Hanson pulled one back by heading a corner past Jon Brain, before Steve Williams drilled in their leveller.
Macclesfield's Ben Wright hit a post and Bradford's Gareth Evans clipped the bar as both teams tried to win it.
Bradford City manager Stuart McCall was delighted with the number of chances his team created and said he had been confident at half time that his team could get back into the contest.
"We still have to defend better because their first goal in particular was very sloppy from our point of view," he said.
