Match preview: Radcliffe Borough v FC Halifax Town

HAVING failed in their bid to gain a morale-boosting victory over Retford United in the President's Cup in midweek, Town simply have to get back to winning ways at Radcliffe Borough in Unibond One North tomorrow.
But they have to do so on the back of four games without a win, including a run of one point from a possible nine.
Manager Jim Vince said after the setback against Rossendale last weekend that for a side to win the league they can lose no more than eight games.
That gives his side little leeway in the second half of the campaign, having already suffered five reverses, including two on home soil.
The only positive from the game six days ago at the Shay was that they created enough chances to have won several games.
The downside from midweek was that the players were unable to create the opportunities that might have given them a chance of progressing in the knockout competition.
They will certainly have to show a marked improvement on that performance if they are to get anything from Stainton Park.
Only Woodley Sports, Harrogate Railway and rock bottom Salford City have lost more times in the league this season than Radcliffe who currently lie in 15th place in the division.
But the Bury-based side do have a couple of notable scalps under their belts this season having won at Mossley, not long before Town were hammered at Seel Park, and at Lancaster City.
But they have not tasted victory since November 8 when they defeated Harrogate on home soil.
Since then they have drawn 3-3 at North West Counties side Squires Gate in the Lancashire Trophy and lost four in a row to Newcastle Blue Star, Harrogate, Garforth Town and Ossett Albion.
They have also found scoring a problem with just three goals in the last four outings.
Two of those goals were scored by former Shayman Ian Fitzpatrick, who was brought to Halifax from Manchester United by Mark Lillis.
Fitzpatrick scored 10 goals in 49 Football League appearances for the Shaymen and notched a further five in 38 Conference games under Chris Wilder.
He has scored four times in his eight starts for Borough and the Shaymen would do well to keep a close eye on him tomorrow.
