FC Halifax Town boss Jim Vince has told his squad that changes will be made in the wake of last night's embarrassing 3-1 defeat at Mossley.
The Shaymen were totally outplayed at Seel Park as they slipped to their third defeat in five Unibond League Division One North games.
And as far as the manager is concerned that is simply not acceptable.
"It was shocking," he said. "And you cannot make excuses.
"It was 11 versus 11 and they were better than us and that is wrong.
"I have told the players that as far as I am concerned there are three or four who will be transfer listed.
"I have seen enough of some players and they can go as far as I am concerned. I am not having that.
"They have had their opportunity and I am not messing around."
While declining to name names until the players get together at training tomorrow evening, it is clear which areas Vince was particularly unhappy with.
"I was very disappointed from a defending point of view," he said. "Our full backs were awful.
"It does not take a rocket scientist to work out that.
"Mossley's wingers were bright and breezy but should not have been causing us problems like they did.
"Our full backs let us down, our midfield let us down and our forward line let us down."
Vince has just tomorrow's session - and the bus trip on Saturday morning - to try to turn things round ahead of the FA Cup first qualifying round clash at Ryton.
"These players represent what I am trying to do and it is not going well at the moment," he said. "It is how we respond to that.
"We have the FA Cup on Saturday and some won't be playing.
"A month into the season you either have to react or not - and we have to react.
"It is a reality check for the players and some won't be with us.
"It is either me or them - that's how it is in football.
"I have to make sure I am doing my job right and at the moment I am not doing it right.
"I have to make sure we address the situation.
"Big players are not doing it, for whatever reason, and if they don't want to do it here, I will let them go and do it somewhere else.
"You invest in players, you give them a chance, and some have not taken it."
For the first time this season some fans vented their anger at the manager as they left the ground.
"I empathise with them because I would not like to watch that," said Vince.
"The fans were fantastic again and some gave me some stick.
"If they are going to give me stick they should come and face me man to man, don't just shout out from the crowd that it's rubbish or Vince out.
"I will talk to them, like I did."
Town's cause was not helped by the loss of Craig Smith in the warm up with a thigh injury and Junior Brown with a pulled hamstring midway through the first half.
Danny Davidson made his debut when he replaced Brown but came off in the second half with a slight thigh strain.
BOOKINGS are being taken on 07707 143094 for the supporters coach to Ryton on Saturday. The cost will be £15 and transport leaves the Shay at 11.30am.
