FC Halifax Town face their biggest test of the season when they travel to Nantwich in the FA Cup second qualifying round tomorrow.
But the Shaymen travel to the Unibond League Premier Division outfit in good heart after a run of four successive victories.
It all began in the FA Cup at Ryton where they scored four goals despite not playing well and continued with a good first 45 minutes against Warrington in which they bagged the winner.
Everything came together in the first half against Salford last weekend when Jim Vince's side bagged five goals on the way to a 7-1 thrashing of the Manchester outfit.
And that performance rubbed off on a team showing nine changes at Ossett in midweek where they won through to the second round of the President's Cup.
It is the kind of run that would boost any club, irrespective of the competitions involved or the players used.
And the fact that a much-changed side won at Dimple Wells Lane in midweek showed that the current first choice side cannot afford to let their standards slip.
While the league is top priority, a good run in the FA Cup would be a welcome diversion from the pressures of having to gain promotion at the first attempt and the fact that the current run started in this competition shows its value.
Nantwich currently lie in 11th place in the Premier Division with three wins and three draws from their opening eight games.
Just three of those have been at the Weaver Stadium where they have beaten Prescot Cables and Kendal Town while drawing last time out against Leigh Genesis.
They won through to the second qualifying round by overcoming FC United of Manchester 4-3 in a replay at Gigg Lane after the sides had drawn 1-1 in the first meeting.
That showed they have the character in the squad to overcome adversity - and they will not be too worried about the fact that the Shaymen will be backed by another large following in Cheshire tomorrow.

Should tomorrow's game end in a draw, the replay will be at the Shay on Tuesday night (7.45).
