TWO incidents in the 60 seconds either side of half time effectively ended Town's hopes of a third away win of the season.
Looking like they would turn round at the break 2-1 up, the Shaymen conceded a second equaliser in the third minute of stoppage time at the end of the opening period.

See the slide show from the game.

And within 30 seconds of the start of the second half, Nathan Joynes jumped into a challenge with Michael Welch and was shown a straight red card.
Had neither event happened - and they were both completely avoidable - the three points were there for the taking.
If allowing the Vics to level so close to the interval was a setback, the loss of Joynes was a real hammer blow.
Even with 10 men Town were able to cope comfortably with what the home side could muster going forward.
But it did severely restrict their attacking options even though they moved Lewis Killeen into attack and played with just three in midfield.
However, they still managed to carve out a couple of gilt-edged chances, neither of which they could take.
Town made the perfect start to any game, let alone one on the road, when they took the lead inside the opening four minutes.
Joynes did well on the edge of the area, showing great persistence to get the ball to Craig Nelthorpe who moved it onto his right foot and, with the help of a small deflection, fired home.
Seven minutes later, Joynes played the ball in for Simon Heslop whose well struck low shot was saved by Lewis Edge.
Northwich forced the first corner of the game soon after, Thomas Harban clearing well, and the home side were level in the 15th minute when Jamie Mullan latched onto a cross from the left and turned it goalwards, allowing Aaron Burns to stab home from no more than five yards.
That stung the Shaymen into action and they created a string of good opportunities.
Heslop's 25-yarder dipped just too late to trouble Edge, Lewis Killeen fired a left foot effort wide after Jon Shaw had laid the ball back from a Harban throw in and Shaw was off target with a difficult header from a Matt Doughty cross.
The pressure finally told in the 36th minute in the most bizarre of circumstances.
Edge had saved comfortably from Killeen and was looking to get his side back up the other end of the field.
He rolled the ball forward, presumably failing to spot Shaw who was closing him down.
And when the keeper struck his clearance it smacked against Shaw and flew past the embarrassed keeper and into the net.
That ought to have been enough to have allowed Town, playing into a strong wind, to turn round ahead.
But they were caught out in stoppage time, although they will have queried how, after the fourth official's board had shown just two minutes, Northwich were allowed to equalise for a second time in the fourth added minute.
The manner of the goal will also have disappointed as another ball in from the left found Mullan who mis-hit his shot allowing Burns to force home his second of the game.
It was the last meaningful touch of the first half and the second was barely underway when Joynes was shown his red card, an incident which swung the game in Northwich's favour.
Burns ought to have put the Vics in front in the 52nd minute when he sprung the Town offside trap, but he fired his shot over the bar - and out of the ground.
Seven minutes later Killeen pounced on a mistake in the home defence but the ball simply would not come down quickly enough for him and keeper Edge smothered.
Lucan Akins had an effort saved by Adam Legzdins and he also did well diving to his right to deny Mullan who had been given far too much room to run into before unleashing a shot from the edge of the area.
There was a heart in mouth moment with five minutes remaining when Cayne Hanley headed a Joel Byrom corner goalwards, but Doughty was on the line to clear.
And the Shaymen almost snatched the points with three minutes remaining when Heslop galloped forward from his own half before picking out Andy Campbell, but the substitute's shot was saved by Edge.

STAR SHAYMAN
Adam Legzdins said in the buld up to the game at Northwich that he would love to keep more clean sheets.
Sadly for him, he was unable to do that, but his second half saves helped the Shaymen to return from Cheshire with a point despite being down to 10 men for almost the entire second half.
He denied Lucan Akins, who is on loan at the Vics from Huddersfield, and Jamie Mullan whose shot from the edge of the area looked to be heading for the bottom corner.
Jon Shaw's goals have come in all shapes and sizes this season, but none have been anything remotely as strange as his 16th.
All strikers close down keepers when they are attempting to clear, but few connect with the ball.
Shaw did and reaped the rewards.
Craig Nelthorpe was eventually sacrificed to allow Town to play with two strikers following the sending off of Nathan Joynes but the loan winger had already bagged his first goal for Town and caused the Vics defence a problem or two by the time he departed.
Legzdins takes the three points on offer in our season-long competition with Shaw claiming two and Nelthorpe one.
