Halfway House and MacMillans powered through the first two rounds before losing to strong opposition in an event which attracted 500 teams from all over the UK.
Halfway House's line-up of Russell Oxley, Tony Lamonaca and Richard Needham beat Rileys of Aldershot 5-3 and Carlton A of Ilkeston 5-4 before going down 5-1 to Faregardeners from Rishton, Lancashire.
Macmillans trio of Simon Herbert, Peter Arundale and Gary Greenwood knocked out Fox Inn of Ulceby 5-4 and Springfield Tavern A 5-2 before losing 5-3 to Mile Oak of Portslade.
