King Cross Park 36
Wyke 16
(Pennine Division One)
PARK comfortably registered a fifth league win of the season at the expense of the bottom club.
They opened the scoring with a fine try, Lee Gleeson and Craig Syme putting Jack White through a gap to score. Pete Garside added the goal.
Adam Mills added a length of the field effort after collecting a Wyke chip on his own line.
Park were cruising and went 14-0 up when Lee Gleeson, White and Nathan Raynor put Mills in for his second.
Aidon Dewhirst also registered a quick double and Lee Brook goaled the second of them as Park romped into a 26-0 lead.
Wyke had a good spell and scored three tries and one goal to slash the deficit to 10 points but Park finished the stronger.
The visitors hopes were dashed when Dewhirst made a lovely break and Matthew Brown raced 50 yards to score.
Brook goaled and also had a hand in the final try scored by Gareth Schofield.
