A RASH of injuries has disrupted Siddal's preparation for tomorrow's trip to play Skirlaugh in the Premier Division.
Coach Lee Greenwood was considering a late selection as his side play their third game in 11 days.

Though Siddal made it two wins out of three with a convincing 32-6 home win over a modest Thornhill on Tuesday, victory came at a cost.

James Simeunovich reopened a facial cut and picked up a calf injury as well so needs a week off.

Mark Boothroyd tore a tendon in his wrist and is likely to miss at least two games while George Ambler broke a thumb.

Steve Hope and Darren Phillips also picked up knocks but Greenwood hopes they will be OK and he will have prop Martin Clegg back from injury, hooker Mick Shaw available again and plans to take a look at young back rower Ross Kyte.

The injuries come at a bad time for Siddal, who will be fielding three teams for the first time this season tomorrow.

Greenwood only saw the last 20 minutes of Tuesday's match, having been training with Fax.

He said: "The players were pretty downbeat because they thought they had struggled a bit at the start but what I saw wasn't too bad. The main thing was that the defence was good again."

Skirlaugh have won one out of three so far and lost 32-12 at East Hull on Tuesday.

Greenwood said: "We won over there in the league last season when we also had injury problems so we will go there confident that we can beat them again."
