Silsden 16 - Stainland Stags 24
(Division Five)

STAINLAND got back to winning ways despite the efforts of the home forwards to rough up the young visitors.
Stags set off like a house on fire, Shaun Whiteley crossing from short range after strong runs by Matty Day and Greg Statham. Whiteley converted.

Sam Moorhouse was next to score after a set move involving Jay McCullouch and Dan Williams, Whiteley's kick making it 12-0.

Carl Hopkinson beat three men to touch down wide out but just before half time Silsden benefited from several decisions going against the visitors to pull back to 6-16.

Stainland showed their intent with a sweeping move involving centres Tom Williams and Danny Hodgson which enabled Adam Walton to charge over from 40 yards. Whiteley added the goal.

Silsden hit back with two tries and a goal to narrow the gap to six points but a 40 yard Whiteley penalty eased Stainland nerves and strong defence by Mark Doughty, John Hopkinson and Dan Williams kept the hosts in their own half.
