Heath travelled to Sheffield hoping to put an end to their away jinx.
Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, even though the West Vale side scored first via a well taken try from Giles Hetherington, the extras added by fullback Lomas for a 7-0 lead.
A high tackle on winger Matt Baxendale gave Heath the chance from a penalty, but it went begging.
Matters were made worse by a Sheffield try as winger Alex Hill sprinted through. Fly-half Joe Cribley added the conversion.
Slack work put Heath under pressure and the hosts picked up three more points from a penalty.
Heath added to their woes when a clearance from Hetherington was charged down and prop Tommy Marples, drove over. Cribley again kicked the conversion.
Then centre Offeina Hushon was sent to the bin for 10 minutes for holding on as the home side went into the break 17-7 up.
Scrum half Matt Hallett collected the restart and set up good position in the host's 22 only for Hetherington's optimistic drop at goal to be charged down and Sheffield winger Ryan Amos ran 75 metres for a converted score.
Coach Kevin Plant brought on Gary Pidgeon at scrum half, Baxendale was replaced by Luke Clogher when he tore his hamstring while prop Watson also picked up a knock, and was replaced by Olly Cook.
Martin Moana's powerful run saw the pack drive on and then release the backs, where Clogher sprinted in for 24-12.
The resurgence was shortlived, as Sheffield hit back with a try from winger Alistair Womack.
The Heath forwards set up and scored another try via Olly Wilby, Sheffield's Andy Kelly, playing in his 100th first team game, also picked up a converted score just before the final whistle for the hosts to run out winners.
