Town announcement due Thursday?
THE consortium running Halifax Town is likely to make an announcement on the club's long-term future on Thursday.
The group, led by businessman David Bosomworth, will front an FA appeal on Wednesday in a bid to overturn Town's expulsion from the Blue Square Premier.
The financially-stricken club was ejected after failing to settle massive debts last month.
The consortium have so far remained tight-lipped, but in a statement released on Monday afternoon said they would make an announcement "within 24 hours" of Wednesday's appeal.
