MANCHESTER born striker Ashley Stott has become FC Halifax Town boss Jim Vince's latest capture.
The former Preston North End trainee, who bagged 30 goals for Welsh Premier League side Bangor City last term, jumped at the chance to return to England.

The signing is subject to international clearance and more details are expected as and when this is obtained.

The capture of the 20-year-old late yesterday crowned a successful day for FC Halifax Town who also secured a new sponsorship deal with the Grand Union Railway Company whose name will be emblazoned across the club's home shirts for their first ever season, which starts with the home clash against Bamber Bridge a week on Saturday, August 16.

the team will still need time to gel but the signings look positive. i was impressed with clegg against bury and thought he ran the midfield. this new lad stott looks like he knows where the net is. all we need now is for the halifax public to show interest because good times are around the corner.
