JIM Vince saw his Halifax side suffer a crushing defeat in their latest pre-season friendly against Alfreton.
Neil Ross had given the visitors an early lead, but things went downhill rapidly as Nicky Law's side hit back to lead 4-1 at the interval courtesy of goals from experienced striker Leo Fortune-West, Danny Davidson, Paul Clayton and Martin McIntosh.
Things didn't get any better after the break as defender Liam Smith put through his own net before Josh Law put the seal on the home side's victory with the sixth goal just before the hour.
