FOLLOWING an exceptional concert last autumn, Square Chapel's artists in residence are returning for two more performances in Halifax this year.
The first programme by Ensemble 360 is tomorrow (7.30pm) and includes works by Poulenc, Berwald, Glinka and Mozart.
Square Chapel marketing assistant Kate Hornby said: "Ensemble 360 are a group of musicians full of passion, vitality and incredible talent who provide an invaluable resource in Yorkshire. With 11 musicians – five wind, Elias String Quartet, double bass and piano – the range of repertoire they are able to perform is staggering. "They offer the rare opportunity to hear concerts where a string quartet is heard side by side with a wind trio and a septet.
"Members of the ensemble are aged between 24 and 40 and audiences find them both easy to engage with and approachable. With so many different instruments represented, local players of any age and ability can see inspirational performances on their own instrument.
"Lovers of classical music will appreciate and enjoy a superb and varied programme while budding young musicians will be inspired by the obvious passion of the performers."
Prices are £11 (£9 concessions) and £3 for people aged 14 to 24.
Tickets are on sale from Square Chapel's box office, tel: 01422 349422.
Ensemble 360 will perform music from Mozart, Misek and Schubert at Square Chapel on Thursday, June 12 (7.30pm).
