Events: There's fun for everyone, including four-legged friends, at the Yorkshire Family Steam Rally in the grounds of Harewood House on Sunday and Monday. It will also feature miniature steam engine displays, classic cars, motorbikes, a mini-railway and a dog show and "K9" games (10am to 5pm daily).
Fishing: No rods, lines or licences are necessary for the angling "taster day" run by Todmorden Angling Society on Sunday on the Rochdale Canal at Lower Durn/Canal Street, Littleborough. Free 20-minute indivudual tuition sessions will be available (10am to 4pm).

Events: A bouncy castle for small children, games, bric-a-brac and a rock 'n' roll demonstration are all part of a family funday on Sunday at Bankfield Social Club, Huddersfield Road, Elland (from midday).

Events: If you like all things floral, a visit to Southport Flower Show on Saturday and Sunday, at Victoria Park, Southport, is a must (9am to 7pm tomorrow, 10am to 5pm Sunday).

Music: So much to choose from over the weekend, with live sounds at pubs and clubs across Calderdale. Sunday's T-Rex gig at the Piece Hall was cancelled but Monday's free festival is going ahead with i.e, The Captives, State of Error, Mapel Fire, Desilva, Anola Gray and Imperdio (midday to 5.30pm).
