GIG-GOERS have a double bill of live music to look forward to in Halifax this weekend as 15 bands – many from Calderdale – aim to raise cash for good causes.
Tomorrow a "Punx Fest" is being staged at North Bridge Leisure Centre, Halifax in aid of Cancer Research.
Eight bands – State of Error, AB Negative, Unrelated Incidents, Underestimated, Point Blank, Tea and Biscuits, Bedroom Gymnastics and Fort Worth – will play from 6.30pm (£3 admission).
The gig has been organised by Queensbury 18-year-old Danny Moore - drummer with punk outfit State of Error - the band's singer Richard Hadley and friends Charlotte Gooding, Emily Oates and Michael Turner.
Calderdale band 13lights are among seven acts playing at a mini music festival at the Allan Fold, King Cross, Halifax on Sunday, starting at 4pm. Click the 'play' button to see 13lights perform one of their songs.
The "Fold Fest" will be hosted by Nick Phelps of 13lights and feature singer-songwriter Allan Leach plus Codego, Scuffers Romance, Petross, Bow Street Runners and Fear the Lizard. Proceeds will go to Overgate Hospice, Elland.
