Halifax role for Lenny Henry

COMEDIAN Lenny Henry looks set to join Halifax's Northern Broadsides theatre company for a new production next year.
Before his last stand-up comedy show at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, the comic told the Courier he wanted to be taken seriously as an actor.
And he revealed he had been in talks with Barrie Rutter, artistic director of Northern Broadsides.
Details are due to be revealed on Thursday, when the comedian will give interviews about his forthcoming project, which is being kept under wraps until the briefing.
