ORGANISERS of tomorrow's Elland Carnival are hoping the rain stays away for the annual event, which will take place this year on Hullen Edge recreation ground.
Competitions will include a bonny baby contest, arts and crafts, baking and fancy dress.
A procession, including vintage cars and bikes, will assemble at Elland Primary School at 12.30pm and be judged by the Mayor of Calderdale, Conrad Winterburn, at 1pm. It will then wind its way through the town before reaching the field, where there will be entertainment including stalls, a bouncy castle and a playbus.
Admission is £1 adults, 50p children (under fives free).
