DEDICATED drivers – some from mainland Europe – will be cruising their American motors into Halifax tomorrow for a car show with hit US TV show Knight Rider as its central theme.
Knightcon 08 at the Watermill Premier Inn, Huddersfield Road, Salterhebble, Halifax, will follow on from last year's successful event and aims to raise money for charity as well as displaying classic cars inclouding Pontiacs and replicas of the Kitt talking car made famous on the 1980s cult show starring David Hasselhoff as crimefighter Michael Knight.
The event, starting at 10.30am and free to enter, will feature props used on the show, memorabilia, raffles and auctions and Kitts in all stages of construction and restoration.
Celebrating 26 years of Knight Rider, which ran from September 26, 1982 to August 8, 1986, the event will include displays of collectors' memorabilia and photos and chances to win limited edition prizes.
Anyone with a TV replica car or American car is more than welcome to exhibit and may win a trophy.
