QUEENSBURY punk band Don't Look Down are not looking back after changing their name 18 months ago.
Lead guitarist and vocalist Christy Sherry, 17, bass player Sean Hinchliffe, 18, and drummer Will Prescott, also 18, met at Queensbury High school and played together for three years as The Under-Ground.

They reformed 18 months ago as Don't Look Down and have since received glowing praise from reviewers.

Leeds Music Scene said of the band: "This is a very promising young three-piece fronted by an immensely talented Christy Sherry. Christy owns the stage, and his partners in crime are of sufficient quality to hold together these fantastic three-minute pop punk songs brilliantly."

Calderdale people who don't know of them yet can finds out what the fuss is about at The Dry Bar, Oldham Street, Manchester tomorrow (8pm). They will play Trash, Leeds, on October 4 (8pm) and the Ring o'Bells, Queensbury, on October 25 (9pm).

The band recently supported Yorkshire band Skint & Demoralised, who have been signed to Mercury records and have been announced as the Next Big Thing in this month's Q magazine.
