THE twinkling eyes, the melt-the-heart smile and the enchanting voice... it just has to be the dreamboat from down south!
Hunky heart-throb David Essex brings his Happy Ever After 2008 tour to Halifax on Tuesday (7.30pm).

Everyone's favourite gypsy boy is making a welcome return to the Victoria Theatre when he will perform favourite hits including Hold Me Close, Gonna Make You A Star and his debut hit Rock On. He will also be treating the audience to new tracks from his latest album.

Since the 1970s right up to the present day, David Essex has enjoyed a remarkable career as an accomplished stage and screen star, as well as a chart-topping singer. He has written, recorded and produced singles and albums that have sold millions of copies worldwide, with 23 Top 30 singles in Britain alone.

There are still some tickets left – £22.50 and £20.50 – available from the box office on 01422 351158.

  • A review of the concert will appear in the Courier on Wednesday.
