VETERAN alternative rockers REM are playing at the Lancashire County Cricket Club ground (Old Trafford) on Sunday, August 24. Their summer stadium tour continues to Cardiff, Southampton and Twickenham.
Now on their 14th album with Accelerate, a number one chart hit, their previous hits include The OneI Love, Losing My Religion, Shiny Happy People and Everybody Hurts. Last year the band entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Support acts include The Editors and Guillemots.

There are some tickets left for the event – £69.50 per person, including return coach travel from the Courier offices, Halifax.
