A COMEDY thriller from the pen of Eric Chappell is Halifax Thespians' latest offering.
Natural Causes is a Total Theatre production, which trains and encourages new members to become more involved with the actors' group.

Vincent is from Exodus, a euthanasia group that assists people with suicide. When he is invited to Walter Bryce's
house to help with the "disposal" of Walter's wife he senses something is wrong.

Why are the suicide notes unsigned? What is the role of Walter's attractive secretary? Why has the Samaritan been sent for?

Publicity officer Geoff Green said: "It is a highly original comedy thriller, full of mistaken identities, hilarious consequences and some great laughs. Pauline Sykes and her strong cast are busy rehearsing at present and finding it difficult to keep straight faces. Taking part in this very funny production are Roy Byrom, Stuart Davison, Jo White, Debbie Barker and Stuart Render.

"The Thespians have staged several plays by Eric Chappell and all have been well received, while Pauline has a penchant for comedy. Her production of Caught in the Net was described as stunning."

The show is staged at the Playhouse, King Cross Street, Halifax, from Wednesday to Saturday, May 10. It starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 each (concessions available).

For details and tickets contact the Playhouse box office, tel: 01422 365998.
