A BAND reminiscent of the legendary outfit Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young are bringing their country/rock sound to Halifax.
The Travelling Band are the headline act at the Doghouse, upstairs at the Royal Oak, Clare Road, on Friday, May 2, with support from Rainbow Trout and Dirty Fakirs.
The evening starts at 8.30pm and admission is £5 (£4 for frequent visitors to this regular music night).
The Travelling Band, winners of this year's Glastonbury new talent competition, are famed for taking musical energy across the globe and have become renowned for their poetic lyrics and brilliantly clear vocal harmonies.
Michael Eavis, legendary Gastonbury promoter, said: "We found a fantastic group called The Travelling Band. They really reminded me of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
"It was so lovely."
Originally from Manchester, and discovered by a music producer in a hotel in Brazil, The Travelling Band have already made a name for themselves on both sides of the pond, dividing their time between gigs in New York, where they recorded their debut album, as well as across the UK.
This exclusive gig is following the release of the band's new EP The Redemption of Mr Tom, set to be performed at Glastonbury Festival, North by North East Festival in Canada, and several other UK festivals as part of their extensive touring schedule.
