EVERYTHING today is thoroughly modern... and Halifax Light Opera Society is up to date with rehearsals for its autumn production to be staged at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax.
Some of the show's flapper girls took time out to pose for a picture promoting the show, to be staged from Tuesday, November 11 to Saturday, November 15.

The lead role in Thoroughly Modern Millie is played by Calderdale actress, singer and make-up artist Becki Cawthra, who is to become Mrs Smith in real life as well as enchanting an on-stage man called Smith. In the musical, Millie Dillmount falls for paperclip salesman Jimmy Smith and Becki is next year due to marry fiance Adam Smith – who plays the role of Jimmy in the production! But is lowly salesman Jimmy all that he seems?

Tickets, from £10 (£8 concessions) are now on sale at the theatre box office, tel: 01422 351158.
