May I congratulate the Conservative party for bringing a touch of light relief to their discussions during these difficult times while the Government is striving to keep the country safe through the banking crisis?

After years of pledging to control Government spending, I gather that the Conservatives have now come up with their big idea.

If they should ever be elected, they are going to set up a new Government department to tell them whether they are spending too much.

Can't George and Dave add up?

You could not make it up!

I agree Jigsaw, I hope the time Cllr Swift spent writing this pointless article does not appear on his timesheet, if indeed he is one of the councillors that actually bothers to fill them in...

not as pointless as setting up a petition telling Gordon brown not to cut banking jobs in sowerby bridge.

whats pointless? pointing out the Tories are ludicrous?
