It seems the Government are concerned that their arguments for us all to carry ID cards are not resonating with the public, as they have now enlisted the help of advertising agency M&C Saatchi to help promote their national ID card scheme.
I just wonder how the advertising guru is going to try coerce us in to accepting this unacceptable scheme, as quite clearly none of the Government's arguments for the scheme have managed to stand up to scrutiny.
I think the Government and their agencies strategy can be summed up by a Home Office Spokesman who said: "Identity cards for foreign nationals are a crucial part in the fight against illegal migration, enabling those who are here legally to prove it and prevent those here illegally benefiting from the privileges of living in Britain".
From November the government will be rolling out biometric ID cards for foreign nationals, when the Home Office Spokesman talks about "foreign nationals", they mean anyone from outside the EU, so that really defeats their argument doesn't it?
