Way back when John Reid took over as Home Secretary his words were "this office is not fit for purpose". Well I am afraid that Blunderwoman aka Jackie Smith, the latest in a long line of Home Secretaries, is still not fit for purpose.
You would have thought that the Home Office would have learned from previous cock ups that not a bit of it. The latest shambolic affair is a private contractor, PA Consul-ting, which has lost personal data on thousands of criminals. PA Consulting has been awarded a Government contract worth over £200 million has broken rules on secret data but instead of sacking this Fred Carno's outfit, the Government is continuing to pay them at the expense of the poor old taxpayers money. Jackie Smith has been described as the next Margaret Thatcher, yet she goes from one crisis to another. Perhaps that this female panto dame should do the right thing and give up the game of politics, in fact her and Dour Old Gordon would make a great music hall act or perhaps the remake of Educating Rita namely educating Jackie. Second thoughts replace the two old growlers on the Muppet Show with these two, no offence meant to Miss Piggy and Kermit. I await with anticipation some breaking news on the mishandling of Gary Glitter, it can only be a matter of time.

I suggest you stick to the day job, if you have one; I doubt you will ever make it as news commentator. Or maybe this is your day job, one of Gordon Browns' no spin doctors?
