Ovenden Crescent,
Ovenden,
Halifax.
HAVEN'T we got anyone with clout in this town of Halifax to decide what we want to do with our Piece Hall?
Why do we need a minister to come up from London to tell us what to do ("MPs told of Piece Hall plight", Courier, April 23)?
(Mrs) Mary McClurg

Could it not be adopted by The National Trust or some organisation of that ilk?

Personally, I don't know why it is not utilised more for gigs. Having seen Off The Wall, Rick Wakeman etc. there I have always thought it is a brilliant and unique venue.

Jethro Tull are touring at the moment, very suitable.
