Norland View,
Sowerby Bridge.
WHENEVER I look out of my window or step outside my home, the very first thing that attracts the eye after dusk is a horrible gaudy green mess on the top of Wainhouse Tower.

It would be interesting to find out who in his or her right frame of mind would pick such an irritating colour to frame an otherwise wonderful folly or monument.

Please get the people responsible to change the colour.

Let's have red, white and blue – fly the colours!

Anything but the nasty sickly green we have at present.

And sack whoever chose the green asap.

Mrs L. Pickvance

As part of the repair works, the glass bricks which crown the very top of the tower are to be lit up with LED's, these are apparently going to be red, blue and white. I agree with the green though, looks like West Yorkshire's Highest Curry House!

i think they should paint it with that luminous yellow paint. then the tower could be lit up using far less energy, thus saving money.........
