Springfield Road,
Elland.
THE six-week school holiday has just started. Elland Lane has nowhere for the children to play. There isn't even a swing.

And believe me there are a lot of children. We have to take the children to other areas to play.

We have asked the council time and again to do something but it never does.

A. Sadler

You could always start a residents association and then book a meeting with your local councillor, after he/she will need your vote to stay in.

Form a residents group, ask for donations from local businesses and apply for money from building firms that have done jobs in the local area which have had an impact on the landscape (ie every building project), this money is available, the name escapes me-think its 'section something'. Calderdale Council should point you in the right direction, maybe you aren't getting through to the right people?
