Wheatley, Halifax.
THE new pound shop where Home Bargains used to be is brilliant. The other day it was packed with people enjoying the bargains, good quality items, myself included.

It was really busy and I was impressed with the quality names on offer.

Verity Tingle ("We don't need these cheap shops", Your say, June 14) may not want to shop there but there are loads of us who welcome such bargains. In the current economic climate we need more shops like this.

Scott Nicholls

I paid £2.29 for my shampoo at ASDA but I got it for £1 in Poundland. Just shows how greedy the big supermarkets are.
