Manor Heath Road,
Halifax.
Unison's website comments on the impact the local government workers' strike is having on communities across Britain, and includes the following:
"News of strike-forced closures in from Calderdale: Westgate House, Halifax Town Hall, Hebden Bridge Picture House, Central Library, Halifax, Elland Library, Hebden Bridge Library, Mytholmroyd Library, Skircoat Library, Todmorden Library, Jerusalem Farm camp site, Hebden Bridge cash office, Hebden Bridge Council Offices, learning disability services at Chatham Street, Royd Square, Clay House and Hipperholme, Todmorden Market
"And on top of that, no large or small mobile library service."
By including the central library on the day it is normally closed, it appears they are just looking to celebrate.
It's one thing to strike, quite another to celebrate the misery the action causes.
Mark Andrew

Mark - I thought the strike was a 48 hour strike so it would be normally open to the public for part of this period and people work at the central library when it is closed to the public. Agree it is propaganda but the propaganda put out media groups who report such action including organizations like the BBC is equally inaccurate - I guess they have learned the these reporting spin skills from the Tory media and the BBC - suggest you complain about them as well - or does that not fit YOUR political agenda! - news reporting today is really all opinion and spin from a point of view!

Correct, didn't even know there was a strike. Having internet access at home, you don't need Libraries, cash offices, post offices etc.
