Norland View,
Sowerby Bridge.
WITH all the UFO sightings across the UK recently, I think some of them may have landed.

In fact I think the aliens within could be the architects who have designed the wonky buildings planned for Hebden Bridge.

Maybe they have these on Mars or some distant planet because in my view that's where they belong. They are totally out of tune with Hebden Bridge and would really spoil the place.

Why can't the architects of today take a leaf out of the book of the Romans, Normans, Tudors, Edwardians and Victorians?

Even a new-looking mill building would look nice as most converted mills that have been thankfully saved look excellent now.

One last thing: please don't come to Sowerby Bridge with plans to build these eyesores.

Alan Wright
