MOTORISTS can expect delays as major roadworks start next week.
Drivers coming into Halifax on the A58 Godley Road will be delayed by resurfacing work.

A spokesman for Calderdale Council said the work, on a 600-metre length of the road – a major route between Halifax, Bradford and Leeds – is essential.

It starts on July 21 and will take about three weeks.

To minimise disruption, contractors will work outside peak traffic times, from 9am-4pm and then from 7pm to midnight.

The spokesman said: "Calderdale Council apologises in advance for any delays while this essential work is carried out."

I didn't think there was any grass in the middle of the road there. Or do you mean straight off the flyover where you can turn under the other side to go to Sainsbury's?
