A MIDDAY road smash has brought problems to one of Calderdale's busiest routes.

The crash, between a silver Mazda and red Peugeot 306, happened at 12.13pm today on Salterhebble Hill, Salterhebble, Halifax.

It is thought two people received minor injuries and are being treated at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

The road ha
s been closed at the junction with Dudwell Lane and police are currently diverting traffic via Siddal.

Elsewhere:
A6036 Closed due to roadworks at Odsal (junction with A641) in Southbound direction and Northbound direction.
Ongoing roadworks has meant that lane closures are in place at the Moor Allerton Leeds (junction with A61) east and westbound. Narrow lanes are in place at the A62 Gildersome (junction with M62) north and southbound.
Coach Fold closed both ways at the Copley Street junction in Halifax, because of roadworks.
Gooder Street closed both ways between the A643 Halifax Road junction and the A643 Elland Road junction in Brighouse, because of roadworks. Diversion in operation.
Temporary traffic lights on Park Road at the Exley Lane junction in Elland, because of roadworks.
Moselden Lane closed both ways between the A672 Oldham Road junction and the Withens End Lane junction in Rishworth, because of roadworks. Diversion in operation.
