18-year-old robbed at knifepoint in Birkby, Huddersfield

An 18-year-old has been robbed at knifepoint while walking his dog in Bikrby, Huddersfield.

The victim was approached by two suspects while walking in woods off Norman Road in Birkby at 2.40pm on Monday, April 15.

The first pushed him against a tree and produced a knife, described as a black handled pen knife or lock knife. The suspect then demanded he hand over his wallet.

The victim handed it over and the suspects ran off into the woods in the direction of Clay Butts.

The first suspect, who had the knife, is described as a white man, 18-year-old, 6ft 2ins tall and of a stocky muscular build. He wore light grey tracksuit bottoms and a black shiny nylon coat. He had his hood pulled over his face and the hood had goggles in it so he could see out.

The second suspect was around 16-17 years old, around 5ft 9ins tall and of a slim build. He wore the same style coat but it was described as a dull finish not shiny.
