HEROIN worth up £500,000 has been found in a car stopped near Rishworth.

Cousins Rayman and Wajid Hussain appeared before Calderdale magistrates in connection with Monday’s haul.

The court heard Rayman was driving a VW Polo with Wajid as his passenger when police pulled them over on the westbound carriageway of the M62, between junctions 22 and 23.

Drugs weighing nearly 9kg and valued between £350,000 and £500,000 were allegedly found.

Wajid, of Stone Bridge Park, Bristol, denied possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

Rayman, of Ashley Road, Bristol, entered no plea.

The pair, both 30, were remanded in custody until October 25
