BUS enthusiasts were transported back in time as vintage vehicles filled the Piece Hall, Halifax.
And visitors were able to take nostalgic trips around Calderdale – on a circular route around Savile Park or up to the Moorlands Inn, Ogden.
The Heart of the Pennines spring bus rally has been revived after eight years by organiser David Evans.
He said: "I loved the old rally when it was held here. It was something unique and it seemed a shame when it finished."
About a dozen buses, along with a couple of vintage cars, were involved, giving visitors the chance to take photos and sit in the driving seat.
Mr Evans said: "Most of them have been rescued from back gardens or come out of service and been restored by individuals.
"People bring them back and show them off, and today is a perfect example of that. We are hoping to build on it year on year."
Ruth Taylor, Piece Hall events manager, said: "This used to be an annual event but it has now been regenerated so that people get the opportunity to go on historic buses and go on circular trips."
There was also plenty of memorabilia on display or for sale, with stalls selling books, DVDs, photos and models.
Younger visitors were kept entertained with a funfair and donkey rides.
